CIDAR Lab has been awarded an NSF award. James Roberts, a PhD student in the CIDAR Lab at Boston University, has been selected as an NSF-NIST Scholar-in-Residence for their project, Developing a Standardized AI-ready Pipeline for Organizing, Representing, and Training on Massive Datasets of Integrated Genetic Circuits. Through this award, James will spend a full‑time research residency at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he will collaborate with measurement‑science experts to advance Knox, CIDAR’s AI-enabled platform for predictive biological design. This work will accelerate design–build–test–learn cycles, reduce experimental costs, and strengthen national biotechnology infrastructure by developing open, standards‑aligned tools for the broader research community.
